CJ Wang Graduating from National Taipei University of Art, with a BA in Theatre Director and

MA in Theatrical Theory, CJ started her directing career on the stage before shifting to the big

screen. As a self-taught filmmaker, she is one of the most promising female directors in Taiwan.

As a screenwriter and producer, her first short film THIEF (2011) won over a dozen awards in

film festivals around the world. The Juries from The Golden Bell Award praised her work as

¡§full of ingenuity and modernism in creating characters and plots¡K CJ Wang is talented and

extraordinary.¡¨ In 2012, her feature film project COFFEE SWEET was nominated for the FOX

Chinese Film Development Award in the Hong Kong-Asia Film Financing Forum. In her latest

short film ROWBOAT (2014) she explores experimental narratives in the telling of a love story.
